T- A170 turbocharger air sealing bush belongs to one part of T- / T- A100-L series turbocharger, which is high efficiency single-stage turbocharger for two-stroke diesel engines. It's designed to give operators of low-speed two-stroke marine engines market leading levels of perforce, emissions compliance, application flexibility, total cost of ownership and operational safety. It's widely applied in low-speed tow-stroke marine engines, and also some industrial engines.

The sealing devices of the exhaust gas turbocharger is divided into two types: gas seal and oil seal. The T- A170 air sealing bush belongs to gas seal.
The function of the gas seal is to prevent leakage of compressed air at the compressor end and gas exhaust gas at the turbine end. A large amount of leakage of compressed air at the compressor end will reduce the boosting efficiency; leakage of the exhaust gas at the turbine end will cause the turbine power to drop, and high temperature gas leaking into the bearing housing will contaminate the lubricating oil and damage the bearing.
