MAN/TCA series turbocharger:
MAN/TCA series exhaust gas turbochargers were regarded as the upgraded technology of the previous successful NA series of turbochargers. The TCA series turbocharger is not only clearly increased in efficiency, but aslo substantially improved in reliability and service life. The TCA Series are developed for constant-pressure turbocharging, with which, the engine exhaust gases flow into a common exhaust manifold, accumulate there and flow with minor pressure fluctuations to the exhaust turbine.
The TCA series are designed as axial turbine and can be used in a very wide performance range for the charging of two-stroke and four-stroke diesel and gas powered engines. Engine outputs are from 2,000 kW to 30,000kW per turbocharger and with easy-to-service or maintenance.

Turbine blades are an important component of the turbine section of a diesel or gas powered engine. The blades that rotate at high speed are responsible for drawing high temperature and high pressure air into the combustor so that to maintain the engine's operation. In order to ensure long-term stability in extreme environments of high temperature and high pressure, turbine blades are often forged with high-temperature alloys and used in different ways to cool, for example, internal airflow cooling, boundary layer cooling, or thermal barrier coatings that protect the blades, to guarantee the reliability of turbine blades during turbocharger's operation.
