Turbo bearing or turbocharger bearings work under high temperature, high speed and light load conditions to ensure reliable operation of the bearings under working conditions. In addition to ensuring that the structural design, materials and ufacturing of the bearings to meet the requirements, good maintenance agement is also critical important.
Labyrinth packing is one of the most widely used types of packing. It consists of a row of narrow slits (or gaps) alternating with expansion chambers. Such packing is most frequently used to seal the space between a rotating shaft and a stationary housing. Labyrinth packing prevents leakage of a liquid (lubricant) or gas, facilitates the use of high rotational speeds, and operates reliably at high temperatures.
